Baby schedule

Little Andrew's sleeping schedule is slowly working out to be quite routine. But could do a bit more work on his milk/meal time though. The following is the most ideal timing for little Andrew.

8am: Wakes up, do some rolling and crawling on the bed, bubble bath then milk at 9ish
10am: nap for 30-60 minutes
12pm: a bit of snack or fruit purée
1pm: milk (but I prefer it to be closer to 2pm)
2pm: nap for 2 hours (or he will be cranky very early)
5pm : dinner time (sometimes at 6pm)
8pm: bubble bath and last milk for the day
8.30pm : some rolling in the bed and is usually asleep pretty quickly.

Sick baby

My poor little Andrew caught a viral infection from his daddy. He woke up with a mild cough suddenly because he was a-ok yesterday!

The worrisome daddy said to bring him to see doctor but it's a public holiday and our normal GP is closed and will probably be closed for the next few days! So we had to go to the A&E in a nearby hospital.

Our little charmer did his best to charm the MO, the nurses, the administrator and even the pharmacist who dispensed the medicines! He was prescribed with a fever meds (just in case), a flu meds and a cough meds- with one of them being the same meds prescribed to him by his usual pediatrician back in JB. And we were warned that the meds could cause drowsiness. Oh jolly good!

Not~ because the drowsiness didn't even work on this active baby! He is still his usual active self and sleep normal. I had an appointment with my hairdresser and I call him miracle hands! My sis was babysitting him.

When I came home, aside from the leaky nose, he is normal. So after a while, I put him to sleep and he slept for 2.5 hours! Hahaha!

Little Andrew likes holding onto mummy when he sleeps and he definitely sleeps better that way. And I'm enjoying it even if it means I will wake up with a weakly elbow and numbness in my hands! He will soon outgrow sleeping with mummy and will soon hold onto his girlfriends rather than mummy's. So yes I'm enjoying every bonding moment withy little Andrew. I love him to bits!!!!

Get well soon my baby!

9 months already

At each milestone, I will repeat this, "Babies grow too fast!" Yes indeed they grow up too fast. It felt like yesterday, ok last month sounds less dramatic, that little Andrew was born. I just cannot believe that he is already 9 months old already! Very soon my baby will upgrade to toddler soon. Sniff.

He can tripod very well on any surface now. The only problem is he always think daddy or mummy will always "catch me when I fall!" He will just go backflip on us not realising we are
not there to hold him. It's ok when he does that on our bed, but it's dangerous when he does it on his crib or on the floor!

He sits pretty firmly on all highchairs but hates sitting in them for too long. I really got to do something about this!

Little Andrew crawls but at times he needs to be motivated to climb- phones, iPad, REMOTE CONTROL etc. I hate the idea he crawls for the remote control. Do you know how much germs are there!!! And I also hate the fact that he thinks he can have the remote control and only to be taken away from him - which makes him angry.

He is definitely trying to walk! Thank goodness I didn't buy him a walker. Otherwise he would run into everyone's toe all the time.

He LOVES food. Or wants to try to eat. He wants what we are drinking or eating. He eats his food but sometimes depending on his mood he couldn't finish it.

Little Andrew is a people charmer I must say- but then again it depends in his mood! Why are babies so moody!! He likes people-watching but it's not all the time he will let you carry him.

I know I'm bias but my little Andrew is really the cutest baby in the world! So please don't grow up too fast!!

no4 already?

By 8.5months, little Andrew is sprouting his 4th teeth already. I can feel it breaking out of the gum already yesterday.

Little Andrew gets cranky sometimes so I wonder if those were the time that his teeth were the cause. So far no fever or diarrhea as some night experience.

At night he sometimes would let out a loud cry, I wonder if he was just dreaming or could it be the teething. I can't be blaming everything to the teething right?

Anyway, little Andrew is back to sleeping in our bed. He still can't sleep in his crib for long. We have tried letting him sleep in our bed and then moving him to his in the middle of the night, it worked at times and at others he would wake before dawn. He definitely sleeps better when we co-sleep. He can sleep through mostly, only these couple of nights, leakage caused us to change him in the middle of the night. But after the change, he would go back to sleep without any problem.

When he was younger, if we woke him to change, milk is the only way to put him back to sleep. And even after milk, heavy patting is required. But now, it seems he can go back to sleep without much patting.

With the 4 teeth and non-stop chewing and gnawing and biting, I wonder when is it gonna end!

Crawling? Not much

Little Andrew is 8+months now but his crawling skill is still very commando style. He doesn't lift himself up - hands or legs. He just crawls with his tummy and flaps his legs. And the head dive still happens, though he is getting better.

He loves to "walk" and I'm not doing the hold n walk thing. But I do let him try to stand holding onto the sofa edge or the bed. Everyone says he is gonna walk soon. And in my heart I thought, he can't even pull himself up- from his back to seated position. How is it possible he can walk soon?!?
