Little Andrew didn't sleep through the night for 2 nights now and today he did the same waking at about 1.30am and just wouldn't go back to sleep. Daddy pat pat until he fell asleep first! So as I continue to pat little Andrew to sleep, I heard noises downstairs. I thought it was the irritating cat that kept sleeping on our shoe rack!
But after a couple minutes, it was getting louder and I thought the cat couldn't have been that aggressive! So I woke up the hubs to check downstairs.
Never in my mind that it was burglars trying to get into our house!!!!! Hubs saw their face when he went down and peeped out the window. They were still forcing their way in when he peeped!
I was blind without my glasses when I peeped through the window from the room. By the time I went back with my glasses, they already took off.
My oh my. We stayed here for close to 10 years already and this is the first time any attempt of burglary happened to our house, though there was once our neighbour's car was almost stolen. Stolen cars are common I think but breaking an entry is another story!
I woke up my sis and brother in law, while letting my mom taking care of Andrew while we inspect the damages. We found that our front gate was opened, the front grill was broken, the front door's key hole panel was broken and taken apart and thank goodness it was just the outside was damaged. They couldn't push their way through because we got a good lock that just refused to budge!! And the best and probably what saved us were the 2 safety latch that we slide it lock every night!!!
It was a horrifying experience for us. Thank God that we are all safe and Thank God for watching over us. And the hero here is my little Andrew who decided not to sleep through the night and kept awake until at such hour that I was alerted in time to stop burglary from taking place!
