Baby got teeth!

Little Andrew teeth is really growing up a storm!!! By 13 months, he has 3 molars growing simultaneously! And I thought it's suppose to be one at a time! The first molar is top left, and the top right and bottom left is just cutting through. No wonder Little Andrew let out cries at nights!!!

He hardly lets me check his teeth, so by the time I check again on the top molar, it was already quite big, say 70% surfaced already grown out. The other 2 is just cutting through and I can only see a small little white tip. In fact, I felt it with my fingers first then a couple days later only I managed to see it.

We are getting little Andrew to get used to brushing his teeth with step 2 tooth brush from Combi and he still loves his banana-shaped toothbrush :)

Don't compare me

Little Andrew has a cousin who is 2 months younger than him and my in-laws are always comparing them. For heaven sake why do they want to compare their milestone. They kept saying why my son can't walk or talk. I'm like HAARRRLOOO every child's development is different.

Why don't they ever say why can't little M wave goodbye? Why can't little M do "carry me" sign? Why can't little M poo in potty? They kept forgetting little Andrew can do a lot of stuff too that little M can't.

I hate it when they compare the 2 babies!!!!

Why oh why?

I think the drinking milk before sleep is now a habit. I thought that Andrew must be too full to drink milk to sleep because I cooked slightly bigger portion dinner. I was wrong!! he ended wanting milk before he sleeps. He was tugging my pillow - there's where he lay down for his milk. Baby, I wish you can talk and tell me!!! >.<

Then in the middle of the night, little Andrew woke up crying! And there is no way I could pacify him and sleep back. He sat up and cried pretty loud. So I gave in, I carried him to my bed and let him sleep with us. Immediately he slept and no crying at all! Hmmm... how am I suppose to get this sleep training on his crib worked out. I don't want to use the Cry It Out technique, it's kind of cruel and pains me.

I guess will just have to keep trying. I don't think he has any trouble sleeping in the crib since he has been falling asleep in there for 5 nights consecutively already. I just need to try harder and nightly until he can sleeps through the night in it.

Back to the crib

I can't even remember when was the last time little Andrew slept in his crib! Daddy took the plunge 4 nights ago to put him to sleep in there. Surprisingly he feel asleep in it and stayed in there till about 2am on the first night. Then 4am, then 6am before crawling out of it. Last night Little Andrew must have a nightmare because he was sobbing in his sleep. So by 3am, he was up and in our bed.

I am hoping for the night he would sleep through the night in his crib. At the same time, I kinda miss having him sleeping next to me. Thank goodness I still can do that during his afternoon nap! I always thought he can't sleep in the crib, seems I'm the one in denial and I'm the one having separate anxiety!

Milk before sleep

It seems to me that little Andrew wants milk again before his bedtime. He stopped drinking his night time milk for a while now, but these 2 days he will fuss until I gave him the bottle!

I wonder if he didn't have enough for dinner. Maybe it's time to increase his diner portion so he won't need his milk before bed. I thought he weaned himself off it, apparently not. If he does means he can stop wearing diapers at night!!! Dream on mummy! He's not even potty train in the day for wee wee! But for big business, it seems little Andrew gets it that he gotta poo in the potty! He can't do it on his back or when he is seated nowadays. I realised that because for few days in a row, he had urged during meal time when we were out and about. I tried putting him on the diaper change table to poo, but he just won't do it! I tried doing it in the car, again he won't do it!

I guess it's a good thing that he knows the use of potty. It just that I need to fix his timing and not every time when he is having his dinner half way!!

Molar!

After so long, the molars are finally out. Little Andrew has been cranky and sometimes woke up in the middle of the night crying. My guess was the molar has got to be coming and I hope it will be soon enough.

And today after his shower, I ran my fingers through his gum and found the top left molar is peeping out! And I opened his mouth bigger and show the white patch appearing on the top right molar too! So two molars are on the way. I have yet to check out the bottom ones but I ran though my finger can't feel a thing yet!

Stand by me...

Oh yes, little Andrew can stand for a few seconds only when he sort of forgets that he is standing. Sounds weird? He won't stand still when you want him to. So he surprises us here and there at the most unexpected moment. I'm still waiting for the walking on your own baby!!
