Breast milk vs Formula milk

I am definitely 100% all for breast milk and I was 100% prepared for it too! But it didn't turn out as I wished for (http://antheama.blogspot.com/2012/03/breastfeeding.html?m=1)

There are way too many articles and forums/discussion where BM mommies bashing FM mommies - directly and indirectly by making comments about FM.

Some people chose to FM but there are mommies like me who just can't make it happen! So there is no need to be so mean to FM mommies. Every parents want the best for their children, and every parents will have different view about parenting. You can be pro-BM, but there is no need to bash up FM mommies. The worst comment I read was "human milk for human, cow milk
for cow". If I had a choice I would give MY VERY OWN BM, but I just can't! Stop saying that babies only need very little colostrum for the first few days. But do you know my few is 10 drops per hand express!!!!

So please stop bashing up FM mommies!

Fussy little one

Little Andrew is and always our little Angel. But there are occasions he had been the fussy pot- the lack of sleep or hungry.

Well hungry is easy to "cure" and can be settled quite fast. Nothing a milk can't fix.

But the lack of sleep or wanting to go to sleep is another story. Little Andrew can be quite a fussy sleeper if there is such a term. He sleeps only in certain positions and usually a bed is the best bet. And it's not easy to let him doze off in his stroller- usually involve lotsa pushing around.

He sometimes fall asleep in the car as well. The car seat not only keeps him in place, it also helps him to fall asleep easier than having me to hug him
to sleep.

In fact, little Andrew is not much of a hugger. When we carry him, his hands will go "handsfree" unlike most babies or children, they will hang on to their dear lives whenever the daddy or the mummy carries. So when he wants to sleep, not daddy or mummy can put him to sleep while carrying him.

But I must say, Andrew is relatively good sleeper at night. He sleeps through the night since as long as I can remember. This is attributed to co-sleeping perhaps. Because he can't when we put him to sleep in the crib. I guess he just wants to feel close to mummy and daddy (perhaps mummy more though).

Toes obsession

Last Sunday we were planning to go to Singapore and watch the light show at Marina Bay Sands. But we gave up the notion the moment we arrived, or rather no arriving, the Malaysia Custom building. The queue was extremely long. And I thought it was jam at all since the camera at the causeway seems to be empty!! So no idea why it's so jam!

And the terrible traffic is not helping THE situation - mummy forgot to bring the most important thing, THE BUDDY aka the pacifier!! No idea why I didn't pack it with me. How is it possible that I forgot the most important item! We tried our best not to make it an obsession for little Andrew but he is tired and couldn't sleep because of the standstill traffic (he can fall asleep without his buddy if the car is constantly moving)

The little pillow was already all wet from
sucking, and little Andrew grew tired of having to chew on his dinosaur or anything for that matter, he just want his buddy to help him sleep. Since there is nothing else, he decided to CHEW his toes! He wasn't into pulling up his legs, and never had he tried to chew on his toes!

But today, out of boredom, he found his toes and decided to chew them. He started with just left toes, and then moved onto the right toes the very next day.

So now, he does it from time to time when he is in his stroller. And his daddy find it disgusting so to prevent him from chewing his toes, daddy gave him the pacifier. Little Andrew is one smart fella, he would spit out his pacifier and quickly tug in the toes!

I hope this is just a phase... and this definitely proves that babies are made of rubber!
